Hippopotamus + Marina light show + Homemade Yong Tau Fu

/ /
I went for dinner at Hippopotamus at Marina Square with my cell group friend this Wednesday (holiday eve) and we watched the light show at Marina Bay. I have to say, great spot to attract tourists (even locals) and just great atmosphere.

Not to mention that I saw people playing beer pong by some small bar lol.

We kinda shared a set. One main course and two side dishes.

The goat cheese tastes... hmmm okay.

The bridge is a double helix. You know... DNA?

The crowd kind of blocked the view. Still, good atmosphere.

The light show was good. There were bubbles other than the fountain and light. Also if not mistaken somewhere at the front there are some devices which spits fire.

I visited my grandma during one of the holidays. We ended up cooking and eating (the original plan is to make Yong Tau Fu and we did). Something spontaneous I did was cooking Tang Yuen!!! Not sure what it's called in English.

Made Tang Yuen with glutinous rice, take some panda leaves, use some of the gula Melaka... not all of that portion in the picture please!

Ooooohhhh looks CUTE (weird adjective I know). They float up when they're cooked.

My mom's hand. Taking the meat chunk and slam it on the board.

Oooooh red chilis and lady's fingers!

Tau pok!

Looks good huh :D

Okay so I think I put on weight... like 5kgs.

Happy holiday, peeps!
