I keep feeling like I have so many things to be done yet I'm not accomplishing anything. I know I've talked about it for SOOOOOO many times I want to puke.
So recently I'm reading John C Maxwell's Make Today Count and I'm just in chapter three now, but it has been really encouraging. I feel like I need to write a self-evaluation post on the book. So far I have read about attitude, priorities and now health (if I am not mistaken). I fee like I am doing something about my discipline problem and it feels great. And I think I can write something about self help or svvelf reflection instead of keep complaining (bout myself mostly) here. Because recently I'm really into the related topics.
There's a typo though. |
I got the chance to attend a motivational talk. It is based on the very inspiring Pike Place Fish Co. people and their great attitudes about their jobs. You'd probably think "What can I learn from fishmongers? I am a programmer." but just check out the video.
It's mainly about how your attitude can help you in your job or even your personal life. I'm really thankful that the company I work in always have training and courses for us. Could be those on soft skills or something technical. Anyway there are people who think it's a waste of time too. Really. So some are like "meh". I really think it's about how you look at it! Like, I'm here, I'm gonna have fun, just why not? Instead of being negative and complaining, right? (That's something I have to learn because I'm 24/7 negative and cranky.)
Okay so the trainer kinda had five (I think) plushies that he wanted to give out in the session. So the others got three of them. So I was like "I WANT THAT PLUSHIE I WILL GET IT". So in one sharing part I quickly raised my hand (I was like "I want that plush") and answered AND I GOT IT!!! Now I feel invincible! I feel that as long as I want something to be done, it can be done!
Sorry I over-reacted. :DDD But look at the plush!
Anyway thanks again Mr. Trainer I forgot your name!
(The course I attended is called FISH Extravaganza, or something like that -- tried to look up on Google but couldn't find any related search.)
